Description
Poetry began with a cry to the gods, to the unknown, a cry for mercy. Or, it came from power, magic, spell casting, from the men of power, the Shamans, the Celtic bards, who called forth the visible out of the invisible. And it came from the Oracle of Delphi who, possessed by the gods—or one of them—spoke prophecies in some disorganized language no one could understand. Lummis
