In 1896 the Vacuum Oil Company (NZ) Ltd commenced business in New Zealand. It was the first Oil Company to be established in New Zealand. For more than half a century, through prosperity and depression, this Company has made a substantial contribution to the development of New Zealand. (inside cover)
